Another learner driver who came to us after first taking a number of driving tests with another company and not being ready for her test! You need to be able to plan and safely execute your plans whilst driving, uinfortunatley some companies over instruct and talk you through everything all of the time, then think you are ready for your test! But they don't give you the freedom to observe, think and act for yourself (effective observation) at Xpert Driver Training you do just that from lesson 1!

Can you tell by the huge grin on Elizabeth's face that she passed her driving test on 10 July 19. I had Carl as my instructor, and I would definitely recommend him. He's really good at explaining everything in an easy to understand way, but also gets you to do things for yourself through total and error, and think about why you do things, not just telling you what to do. I found his way of teaching really good at giving me the confidence to drive independently, as his sole focus is to teach you how to drive well and be confident in yourself, not just how to pass the test.

Congratulations to Eleanor Nolan from Gilberdyke (Via Ireland) who passed her driving test in York on 4th July 19 with only one driver fault. I am normally a nervous person and tend to get flustered, so driving was always daunting to me. But even from my first lesson with Mick he put me at ease and helped build confidence in my own abilities. Even when I had made a mistake, he would assure me that it was okay and calmly talk me through a different approach to the situation.
I used to dread getting in the car and now driving has become something that feels natural to me.

I had driving lessons with another instructor before Mick, but with them I found that I would feel nervous and under pressure throughout because of their way of teaching and driving just felt unnatural. Driving with Mick I felt the complete opposite. He made me feel at ease and his method of teaching allowed us to talk through situations, come up with solutions to problems or ways of dealing with different situations together, rather than constantly being told what to do.
