I chose Xpert Driver Training because of other people telling me how good the lessons are and how most people pass their test first time. Before my driving lessons with Xpert Driver Training I had never driven before.Mick made my confidence grow each lesson. When we used the office for test bookings, the staff were helpful and told use the information that we needed to know at the time regarding theory or practical tests.
Mick supplies free Theory test pro, this is a very helpful tool to use for your theory test and I would recommend it to anyone else who is learning for their theory test and that it should be used to their advantage.
Mick made my lessons feel like I was safe and as well as this he made me feel confident behind the wheel. The fact that the student can try things for example pressing buttons inside the car is great because it gives the student a way of finding out what each button does instead of being told what it does.
I found the the feedback very beneficial as because Mick would make me identify any problems myself and resolve them. Also doing different things each lesson so each lesson there was something new to achieve. I wanted to learn to drive because I wanted to be independent and not to have to rely on my parents to take me places for example interviews for jobs or just taking me anywhere in general.
I would recommend Xpert Driver Training to family and friends by telling them how good the lessons are and how the instructor lets you find things out yourself because personally i found that helpful as well as identifying problems. Joe Allen. Gilberdyke.

Mick was always calm and made me feel at ease and relaxed when driving, if I was struggling he would find different ways for me to understand the difficulties I found. I used the office to book my theory and my practical tests and on both experiences I found the staff very friendly I found theory test pro easy to use and you could log in and out whenever you wanted and you could pick up where you left off, it also tells you the percentage of what you've learnt and whether you've passed or failed on the questions so you know what to practise. I would 100% recommend this website rather then the books and CDs.. Mick changed the lessons to suit you, overall I enjoyed my time learning how to drive and Mick made that happen. My lessons were fit around me, Mick tried everything he could to do the times you wanted which was good when you was at college etc I wanted to learn how to drive as soon as I could so I had the freedom to go wherever I wanted, also not having to rely on others to take me places I would recommend Mick to absolutely anybody who is wanting the best experience out of learning how to drive. I chose Xpert Driver Training because there were good reviews, and also the Pass Promise. My last instructor (several years ago) had a fairly similar teaching style, so I was glad to have found someone who's style worked well for me. Mick is completely nuts, a great instructor. Very easy to get along with. Mick is a great instructor, who knows how to encourage learning and independent thinking, rather than just telling you how to do things. I liked having 2 hours, as it meant that I could get a lot done in that time and could feel like I was progressing. I wanted to learn to drive to be able to get to work and back without having to use public transport, as well as being able to take my son out to other places. I only needed to use the office once, but Ian was very helpful, I also found Theory Test Pro extremely useful, as I could go through at my own pace and learn well from it, as well as putting myself in the test environment. Xpert Driver Training was the first result when I looked up driving instructors in this area. I have only lived here a year and do not know the area well. On looking at the website I was very impressed with previous reviews left by other learners. I had failed twice previously with another instructor and gave up learning to drive for almost four years. I felt much more at ease and confident with Mick, he taught me to think for myself rather than just listening to instructions. I also conquered my fear of roundabouts and the dreaded reverse round a corner. (I got both on my test and did perfectly) He taught me to simplify them and think ahead. The staff in the office were lovely and very easy to speak to. They booked my test for me and made the whole process easy. My last theory test ran out a couple of years ago and I had previously used the computer programme to learn. Theory Test Pro is free, easy to use and is exactly the same as the actual theory test. It is also split into categories so you can see exactly what you need to work on. Mick is very friendly and easy to talk to. He made me so much more relaxed and confident in my driving. He taught in a completely different way and asked a lot of questions to get me thinking more about what I was actually doing. I had a choice on what we did on my lessons and didn't feel that I was just following some pre set instructions. The two hour slots mean you get a lot more time to really learn what you're doing. I definitely felt that I was making progress every lesson. I booked my test quite early on (I had previous lessons) so it gave me a goal to strive towards. There was a lot of positivity surrounding my progress. I regretted giving it up before and just wanted the freedom that comes with being able to drive. I also hate that the trains are always delayed!! Mick has a much more positive and proactive approach to driving where you will learn how to drive safely but also you will learn to think for yourself more which you will need when you pass. I hadn't had any other driving experience before starting lessons with Mick. My sister and a few of my friends did lessons with Mick and ended up passing. He seemed like a good choice. I used Mick's office in order to book my theory test. It made the whole process incredibly easy as all I had to do was give some details and preferences over the phone. Mick gave me free access to Theory Test Pro it was very useful when studying for my theory as it pretty much had everything I needed to know for the actual test. I could also track my study progress with it. Apart from learning to drive and passing my test, I think that throughout the lessons my confidence in driving increased significantly. The main purpose for me wanting to learn to drive was so that whenever I got to the point where I needed to drive I already would be able to. Mick is a really sound guy and nice driving instructor who will makes you feel comfortable on lessons even in stressful situations he will also make sure you pass your driving test. I wanted to learn to drive so I could have more independence and not have to rely on parents and buses when I wanted to go places and thankfully I no longer have to rely on either of them! So I chose Xpert Driver Training because of the really good reviews on his website and things he offered such as theory test pro and pass plus etc. I used Micks office to book tests and pay for lessons, both Lisa and Ian were really happy and helpful and made it very easy for me to book my tests. I used theory test pro and without it I don’t think I would have passed by theory first time, its so useful because the questions and hazard perception are both set out like the real thing so it really helps to prepare you for the test itself. I find it difficult to revise from books and answering the questions online made it much easier for me to learn especially because I had the choice to pick a particular subject or do a full practice test. I think Mick is extremely encouraging, calm and funny, when you make mistakes he makes sure it doesn’t knock your confidence and encourages you to try and try again, you feel like you can have a laugh which makes you feel much more at ease especially after making mistakes! Mick uses lots of different things during lessons like apps on the iPad to explain things in different ways or to prepare you to try things like manoeuvres, he also uses a camera on the car so I could go back and watch where I had just driven and pick up on mistakes and positives as well these were both really useful in lots of my lessons because it helped me visualise what it was I was going to be doing. I wanted to learn to drive so I could have more independence and not have to rely on parents and buses when I wanted to go places and thankfully I no longer have to rely on either of them! I would definitely recommend Xpert Driver Training to everyone as I feel I have learnt so much over all my lessons, every lesson I have come away feeling like i have achieved something or learnt something new. Mick was my instructor, he was recommended to me by a friend as he had a high pass rate. Mick was very good at his job, he coached me in a way that suited me and if it wasn’t for Mick I wouldn’t have passed my driving test today. His lessons were flexible and he always explained things to me well, but he also got me thinking and coached me along the way. Thanks to Mick I now have more freedom and better job prospects. I used his office a number of times and always Lisa very helpful and friendly. Mick also gave me Theory Test Pro which I found to be invaluable. Mick was my driving Instructor who I knew from my footballing days. Before having lessons with Xpert Driver Training I had not driven a car before so it was all new to me. Mick, is a great instructor and it was an honour to drive with him. My lessons were flexible to suit me and I was always learning. I now have more independence than I did before. Mick is far better than the other instructor. He is easy to talk to, a great instructor who helped me get over all my driving faults. "I chose Xpert Driver Training as I knew I would like the way he teaches, he is also very easy to get along with and talk to. I felt far more safer driving with Mick than my mum, as she used to scream and grab the seatbelt a lot. I found booking my test through Mick's office very easy and Lisa was always happy on the phone. I found Theory Test Pro, which Mick gives you for free, very helpful and easy to use. Without it I don't think I would have passed it. A friend recommended Mick to me, after speaking to Mick and having a driving assessment, I decided to go with Mick. I have had four other instructors over the past 10 years, as well as bosses, friends and parents, they were OK, but Mick was a lot more calming and made ne think but not over think!Mick always told me to trust my gut instinct and trust myself, rather than what others have told me, this instilled my confidence, he is a fantastic instructor. He didn't just tell me to calm down, he was looking for ways to calm me down and build my confidence and make me laugh.

I would definitely recommend Mick. He is a brilliant driving instructor, who has the confidence in all his students and who teaches people to drive for life not just for the test day which is what made me a bit more relaxed on the day.

I'd just like to say a very big thank you for sorting my confidence out and getting me passed my test. After 10 years of driving on and off and 9 previous tests I was really low on myself and my ability to drive. From the beginning you, along with my family, had the confidence in me that I had lost along the way. I really didn't believe I was going to pass my test before my theory ran out and I am still in shock, that on my first attempt with you after only 2 months thatI am a fully qualified driver. I could not have got a better present for Christmas.

My wife heard good reviews about Xpert Driver Training, so I decided to go with Mick for my driving lessons. Mick is a real nice bloke, it didn't feel like a lesson more like driving with a mate. Mick let me drive and then we talked about how we can improve my driving. Mick also offers free theory test training which I found very helpful and Lisa who runs his office was very helpful finding a late cancellation for me. Now I have passed it will make it easier to find work and get around with my young family. I would recommend Xpert Driver Training as the lessons didn't seem like lessons, they were real relaxed and enjoyable.
