I would really recommend Xpert driving school, the teaching here sets you up to be a good driver - not just to pass a test!

I've just passed my test in York after taking lessons with Carl Elsby for the past few months. Carl's patience and calm manner, especially in my stressed out moments made me very comfortable in the car, and his support throughout the learning process was great.
After failing my test a year ago in a different city, I felt very under confident in starting driving again. But after my lessons with Carl, I grew in confidence & in the lead up to my test began to feel relaxed whilst driving - something I never thought would happen!

Aaron o'donnell - driving instructors in York and selby

Congratulations to Aaron O'Donnell from Selby, who passed his driving test in York on 14 Nov 17, at the first attempt with only 5 Driver faults. Aaron passed his driving test in a little over two months with Mick his Xpert Driver Trainer.

"I took lessons with Mick and passed both theory and driving exams first time.

Mick was a great instructor as he is talkative and relaxed, which helped me settle in and be comfortable with driving. He also helped by making me feel confident in my own ability which allowed me to feel confident going into my test and not nervous. He likes to focus on what you did well and helps you realise your mistakes instead of been told which helps you to learn.
Immediately after first getting in touch with Mick, he offered me software to use for my theory test even though I didn’t book a lesson straight away which is a positive as no other instructors I approached offered help like he did.
I would recommended Mick and Xpert Driver Training to new learners or nervous drivers. Well worth every penny spent." Aaron O'Donnell

Congratulations Helen Archibold from York who passed her driving test 1st time in York with only 3 driver faults, after taking driving lessons with Carl her Xpert Driving instructor in York.

I’ve been driving with Carl for about 5/6 months and have passed my test first time today!
He always stayed relaxed and gave me masses of confidence behind the wheel , I’m really pleased with how my lessons went and each one was structured to suit me and what I felt needed improving with input from Carl as well. Carl always stepped in to help me when I needed it but was happy to let me make my own mistakes when it was safe.
Would defiantly recommend to anyone looking for a driving instructor. Thank you again Carl. Helen Archibold
