Congratulations to Megan Gaskin from Goole, who passed her driving test in York on 28 Nov 16, at the first attempt with only 1 driver fault.

Megan, along with Mick her driving instructor in Goole were in York early this morning to take her first driving test, and what a drive it was! One driver fault, so close to being a clean sheet for her.

I chose Mick's School of Motoring because I got recommended to him by many people. Mick's driving lessons were great and productive, I always learnt something new every lesson. I used Mick's office to book my test and the people on the phone were lovely and very helpful. I thought the Theory Test Pro app was amazing to use, it helped me so much with my theory and helped me understand the types of questions I would get in my theory test. The things I found beneficial about Mick's lessons are they were productive, always learnt something new and ended a lesson feeling more confident about my driving. In order to get my family and friends to learn with Mick I would let them know what my lessons were like and how productive they were. I would also let them know how good of an instructor he is, he makes you feel confident and comfortable when driving and makes you feel safe. CONGRATULATIONS to JAMIE BULMER from GOOLE, who passed her driving test on 22 Nov 16, in York with only 6 driver faults, making it three test passes in the last three working days, for Mick, her driving instructor in Goole.
Jamie had a great drive, managing to drive safely and calmly whilst dealing with the heavy traffic and also completing a parallel park and an emergency stop in the process. She is now ready to drive herself to her new job in Doncaster.

I originally considered going with Mick’s school of motoring after seeing so many fantastic reviews through social media. I started driving with Mick in June 16 and he immediately got me settled. I had already driven before going to Mick and lost all confidence and gave up! Absolutely nothing was ever a problem. If I ever did something wrong and panic, he completely reassured me, always told me not to worry and we tried it again. I booked and passed my theory test very quickly due to the free access to theory test pro, something I never got from my previous instructor. I was on this every single day right up until my theory test. The practice was exactly the same to the test and I passed that with flying colours! Lisa and Ian are so unbelievably helpful at the office, nothing was ever a problem! Always willing to help which was fab. Mick always gives you the choice of what to do on your lessons. This was brilliant when I wanted to practice a hill start again! He made me feel so at ease on my driving lessons instead of a nervous wreck and I passed my test Nov 16. CONGRATULATIONS to PARIS BLEE, from Goole, who passed her driving test on 18 Oct 2016, with Mick’s School of Motoring, third time with only 7 driver faults, in York.
Paris worked extremely hard and dealt with some strange situations on her test, lorries pulling out in front of her, having to mount the kerb safely to squeeze past a motorist blocking the road were just some of the situations she came across.

I'm not sure really why I chose Mick’s School of Motoring, I was looking for an instructor and I decided to go with Mick’s School of Motoring Steph was my first and only driving instructor, I didn’t feel the need to look anywhere else as Stephs approach to teaching suited me perfectly. The office made test booking so much easier . I took my test in York and they had such a long waiting list but the people in the office always try there best to provide the earliest date that they can. Steph is amazing, I could not have done it without her. We got on so well and I honestly believe that she was the only one that could have kicked me into shape. Steph goes beyond being an instructor. Sometimes it feels like she’s a therapist as well. She is so supportive and I can not thank her enough. The lessons have definitely made me more independent , I had to make decisions for myself and take the control. I think it sells its self really. I’d just say ” I passed with Mick’s ” and that would probably be enough

I was recommended to Xpert Driver Training by a friend. Mick's instructions were clear and understandable, he made me feel more confident at the wheel than with anyone else. I found Theory Test Pro which I was given free access to, very useful when revising for my theory test as it covered all areas including the hazard perception test. Mick is a good instructor, made me feel comfortable and confident in passing my test. I choose Xpert Driver Training because of the good reviews, a few friends had passed first time with Mick so it was a no brainer. I’d had a driving instructor before which I was struggling with. He didn’t really teach me a great deal so I moved over to Mick. After moving over I found Mick teaching me more in one lesson then my other instructor did in all the others. I found using the office very easy. I didn’t need to worry about going onto the wrong sites and getting scammed. When I started usingTheory test pro I was able to pass easily, whereas when I didn’t revise I kept on failing. Mick is very good, couldn’t of asked for anyone better to have taught me. Easy to talk to and have a laugh while making me feel very confident while driving. Fitting me into lessons better than my previous instructor. I found learning to talk to myself and point out various signs etc which helped me to finally pass. I feel very confident now as I know in my lessons I have covered all the things that it takes to become a good driver and everything Mick has taught me I will use when driving on the road myself. The freedom of being able to drive anywhere and going to places where I would of had to get a lift or public transport. Also with my work I needed a driving License to be able to drive the vans. I would defiantly tell friends and family everything good about Mick and how he will learn you how to drive and make you feel confident, fitting you into lessons to fit around your schedule. I heard from a friend that driving lessons were available and Steph was a really good driving instructor. The driving lessons were very useful and informative. Xpert Driver Training was recommended to on Facebook by a friend. Until my lessons with Mick I had not been behind the wheel of a car before. When I first started my lessons I was nervous and lacked confidence, but I found Mick very patient and reassuring. He helped me turn my nerves into confidence which helped my overall driving ability. The people in the office seemed friendly and nice. They were always very helpful when booking or changing my test date. Theory Test Pro was a life saver for me. It got me through my theory test first time with ease. At first I was anxious about taking my theory test, and on the day of the test I was really nervous. However I found the theory test to be very easy because I had used theory test pro to study for the test. I would advise that people take the test early and use theory test pro to help them study for it because it really isn't anything to worry about. Mick was a great instructor. His driving advise is always useful and I will definitely remember his tips and apply them to my driving now that I have passed my test. As a person Mick is quite funny and calm and generally he would always make you feel relaxed and ready to drive. Everything. I know that sounds like an easy answer, but I came into my lessons with literally no driving experience and since driving with Mick I have passed my test. No one piece of advise or teaching that Mick gives you is more important than the other. I would just say try and take as much knowledge as you can from your instructor as it will all help you pass your test. Personally for me the best piece of advise was to talk my way (out loud) through hazards. I was reluctant to do this at first but once I started it felt natural and it cleared my head and helped me concentrate on my driving. Being able to drive gives me the freedom to go places and not have to rely on others. I needed to do it! Mick's school of motoring is everything you want from an instructor.
